MANIFESTO

The cyclocamp is self organized. There is a couple of small "orga-groups" providing necessary infrastructure but this should not lead to domination of these groups during the cyclocamp. All necessary work has to be done by everyone. Participation in all activities is voluntary. Tasks are coordinated at the info-point: to help you can offer your time&skills there.

The democratic culture of this self organized event should be based on respect towards one another. It is important to enable the articulation of everybody`s opinions and experiences to learn from each other. We want the cyclocamp to be free from sexism, homophobia, racism, and violence. WITHOUT COMPROMISE! Conflicts can occur but should not be fought in a disrespectful way or on a personal level. Be aware of sexism, racism and all other kind of discriminating behavior. If you notice any kind of this behaviour or are concerned yourself, please discuss this and feel free to get the support-group for help. The intention of the support-group is to give assistance in case of violent, sexist, racist and related conflicts, to mediate and to give protection. If you feel threatened or in case of any kind of other interpersonal emergencies, SPEAK UP - GET SUPPORT! you can reach the support-group anytime under +43 681 10839783 or via the Info-point.

Costs

The cyclocamp is a non-profit festival. The profit made at the bar and kitchen will cover the costs of wood, toilet etc. To avoid additional costs, it is necessary to separate waste because the costs for residual wastes is expensive.

organisational issues

eat&meet: short meetings (30min) at 12pm + 7pm (at dinner) Agreements and decisions will be made in a consensual way. everybody should attend, in case you can`t attend yourself, please be sure you`re getting informed.

Legal issues

Riding a Bicycle in Austria

In Austria you need 2 seperate working brakes and steady white light to the front and red to the back, moreover orange reflectors on the pedals and white or orange ones on your wheels.
if you don`t have these, police might charge quite a fine (something like 20-30€s per offence). We recommend working lights for the critical mass ride in Linz! Helmets are not mandatory for adults. For children under 12 years a helmet is obligatory (fuck that!!!) If there is a bikepath or -lane, you are not allowed to ride your bike on the road (except riding a road bike for training purposes) At cross-walks (zebra-crossing) without traffic lights, pedestrians always have the right of way. For more information see Fahrradverordnung and StVO (German only, sorry)

Alcohol

Driving a bicycle under the influence of alcohol is penalized from 0,8 per mill (1 l beer, 0,5l wine). In case of an accident the 0,8per mill limit is of no importance. Therefore it is recommended not to mix alcohol and the joy of riding a bike :-)
Persons under the age of 16 are not allowed to drink any alcoholic beverages (in public? - shouldn't matter CC!). Please respect and mind about that.

Substances

Other addictive drugs but alcohol and nicotine are prohibited in Austria.
